Fethiye \u00d6l\u00fcdeniz Baba Mountain, in general, is easy to reach its peak, which is 2000 meters high, and has 4 takeoffs facing different directions. Its most important feature is that it is located in a moderate region in terms of temperature and wind. Babada\u011f has a very suitable meteorology for paragliding, which is protected from strong winds thanks to the Taurus Mountains surrounding it. At the same time, being at sea level with an altitude of 2000 meters and surrounded by anabatic and katabatic winds makes it suitable for flight.

Babadag started with a holiday adventure of a British athlete in Fethiye \u00d6l\u00fcdeniz in 1979 when paragliding was just spreading to the world. He noticed the mountain while sunbathing on the beautiful beaches of \u00d6l\u00fcdeniz and started the flight adventure of Babadag. Thanks to the fire observation tower on Babadag, the road to the summit started to attract paragliding pilots in a short time. With the increase in interest in sports aviation in our country in the 1990s, Babadag became one of the most popular flight areas in the world.<\/p>\n

Another factor that makes Fethiye \u00d6l\u00fcdeniz Baba Mountain valuable is that it is used as a paragliding training area worldwide. Pilots of all levels interested in paragliding sports must perform SIV emergency training at certain periods annually. In order to perform emergency training, it should be done over large bodies of water such as the sea or lake. Baba Mountain is accepted as the best emergency training area in the world due to its 2000 meters height above sea level and easy access to the mountain. At the same time, during the time it is open to flight, 112 lifeguards are ready to intervene in any situation that may occur.<\/p>\n
